FS18 - GALEN BAUGHMAN

This is the most fascinating interview I've ever done in my life. Galen was a 19-year-old who had a 14-year-old boyfriend and went to prison for 9 years for the privilege. If I was the father of the 14-year-old, I probably would have kicked Galen's ass. What I definitely wouldn't done was confined him to 4.5 years in solitary confinement. That's a bit rich. The most shocking part about his case is that he was lucky to get away with 9. He was facing life. He did something pretty much every gay man on earth has done and plenty of us straights (pretty sure my girlfriend was 14 when I was 17) and he suffered dearly for it. Galen is now an advocate for prisoner's rights and his stories of prison culture are stunning.
